What is Piad'amore?

null

Piad’Amore is our Italian way of making sandwiches using authentic Italian flat bread known as Piada or Piadina. Light, crisp, yet soft and delicious, it is a healthy and nutritious alternative with fewer carbohydrates and calories than traditional bread. The original recipe originates from Emilia Romagna in Northern Italy dating back to the 14th century. Piad'Amore revolutionizes the sandwich by bringing the Piada to America. Made fresh daily to order, our Piadas are filled with authentic imported quality Italian ingredients including Prosciutto di Parma, Valtellina bresaola, fresh buffalo mozzarella, Pecorino, Parmesan cheeses, the best olive oil together with fresh seasonal vegetables and herbs locally sourced. Gluten free, organic, whole wheat, sweet and savory versions are available.

With so many possibilities, our Piadas make the perfect choice for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert or snack served fast, conveniently and always wholesome.
Welcome to slow food served fast.

The core of Piad'Amore restaurants is the authenticity of our Piadas combined with the freshest quality ingredients, reflective of the Italian lifestyle expressed in our love of food. A healthy, wholesome delicious alternative to fast food, Piad’Amore provides an authentic and convenient Italian experience for America on the run.

We love good food. We love to eat well. We love looking trim. But mostly, we love Italy for all its gastronomical colors and flavors. That’s why we created Piad'Amore.

PHILOSOPHY

"As a child growing up in Salerno on the Amalfi Coast, my family had a tradition to prepare and eat pizza at least once a week. My mother would prepare and knead the pizza dough by hand. Then add homemade tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella cheese, freshly picked basil, oregano and olive oil.
I recall the magic of the colors that would slowly change as I watched the mozzarella cheese melt in the oven; the fresh aromas dancing in the air and the joy of the first bite shared with family and friends. Sometimes in addition to mozzarella and tomato sauce we would add ham, mushrooms, artichokes and vegetables for an even more substantial variation. Occasionally, we would also eat stuffed calzones and from the very first bite was a feast of flavor and color."
